Metric cups
Metric cups are used in cooking and baking to measure ingredients such as flour and sugar. One metric cup is 250 milliliters or a quarter of a liter.
Centiliters
A Centiliter is a metric volume unit equal to one hundredth of a liter. Centiliters are commonly used to measure smaller volumes.
When converting volume measurements, be sure to remember that the dimensions are cubed and so doubling the sides of a cube will increase the volume by a factor of eight.
